We collect information you provide directly, as well as some information automatically:

• Account information — name, email, phone number and password.
• Profile & listing information — addresses, photos and item descriptions you add.
• Transaction information — bookings, payment status and messages related to your rentals. We do not collect or store your card, UPI or bank details — payments are processed and that information is held directly by Razorpay, our secure and authorized payment partner.
• Usage information — device, browser and log data collected automatically as you use SmarketHub.

• To operate, maintain and improve the SmarketHub platform.
• To process bookings, payments and payouts.
• To verify user identity and help keep the community safe.
• To send booking confirmations, service updates and, where permitted, marketing communications.
• To detect, prevent and address fraud, abuse or security issues.

We do not sell your personal information. We may share information with:

• Other users, as needed to facilitate a booking (e.g., name and contact details between a confirmed renter and owner).
• Service providers who help us operate the platform, such as our payment processor Razorpay and delivery partners.
• Authorities, where required by law or to protect the rights and safety of our users.

We use cookies and similar technologies to keep you signed in, remember your preferences, and understand how the platform is used so we can improve it. You can control cookies through your browser settings, though some features may not work correctly if cookies are disabled.

We use industry-standard safeguards, including encryption in transit, to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we work continuously to protect your data against unauthorized access, alteration or loss.

SmarketHub is not intended for use by anyone under the age of 18, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can remove it.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We'll post the revised version here with an updated "last updated" date, and let you know about significant changes.
